Technovation Rhode Island senior division team “Code Trip” is officially a semifinalist for the Technovation World Pitch. Code Trip is mentored by East Greenwich High School Computer Science teacher Holly Eaves and is composed of three East Greenwich High School students — Katie Cretella, Morgan Prior, and Lauren Shanos. Code Trip is 1 of 19 US teams to make it to the semifinals.
Code Trip’s app is titled “Easy Eats”. Easy Eats provides simple step-by-step recipe instructions that aim to increase the independence of those with intellectual disabilities. The app is cognizant of sensitivities of these individuals, which is why it adheres to specific visual and audio preferences.
